The City of Washington has 2 permanent part time positions available!

Water Meter Reader: Regular part-time position that utilizes electronic equipment to record meter readings for the calculation of the monthly water bills.  Daytime working hours – 20-25 hours per month.  Entry level pay starts at $15/hour plus IPERS retirement.  Applications accepted until position is filled.

Full Job Description:

Code Enforcement Officer:  Regular  part-time position that is responsible for enforcing nuisance and other code requirements, including but not limited to tall grass & weeds, junk vehicles, snow removal, and garbage removal from problem properties.  Must handle adverse situations tactfully.  Daytime working hours – 20-25 hours per week. Starting wage is $16-$17/hour, plus IPERS retirement.  Initial review of applications will be June 9th.
