Get into the holiday spirit and join the Washington Chamber of Commerce for their 33rd Annual Tour of Homes, on December 7th and 8th. Get a peek into 7 beautifully decked-out homes and 2 festive businesses, while soaking in the local history and culture. This cherished tradition is sure to dazzle with its festive ambiance and stunning decor.

Don’t wait! Tickets are $12 in advance, $15 at the door of any of the homes or businesses during the Tour times. Youth 10 and under are free. Your ticket will get you into the Tour on either or BOTH days!

Tickets are available at the Washington Chamber of Commerce (205 W Main St, Washington), area retailers, and you can also purchase tickets online by using the link below. Note: Online orders require electronic payment. If you wish to purchase tickets with cash or check, please do so in person at the Chamber or area retailers.

Holiday Lights Take & Bake Fundraiser

The Chamber is partnering with Circa 59 at the Halcyon House for a fundraiser to support the holiday lights. Enjoy one or more of 5 delicious take-and-bake meals, or get a gift certificate for later. 50% of all purchases will go towards maintaining the holiday lights in Washington! Since 2018, the Chamber has invested over $40,000 into our community’s holiday lights. We want to thank these partners who have contributed both financially and in-kind over these years: The Connie & Amanda Team: Re/Max Affiliates, The Goldfinch Solar Project, The Jingle Bell Run, Renoux Builders, Northside Diner, Washington County Riverboat Foundation, City of Washington, Washington Iowa Betterment Foundation, Greiner Buildings, Paneless Windows and BW Construction. These businesses are in addition to the sponsors of our Tour of Homes, which is the primary fundraiser for our holiday lighting season.  We have approximately 5,500 linear feet of lighting in the downtown area and have been expanding and improving the holiday lights in our community by converting and replacing the strands to LED bulbs. In addition to the lights lining the rooftops downtown, we have upgraded the fountain and snowflake lights to LED and we have added lights on approximately 15 new buildings.
