The Chamber is teaming up with the ISU Extension Office to whip up a feast of resources for families to discover all the cool summer shenanigans in town.

FREE Summer Lunch Program at Lincoln Elementary

Families are invited to participate in the free summer lunch program, which will be offered from June 3rd – August 2nd at Lincoln Elementary School from 11am – 1pm. Ages 3-18 are free, adults will have a nominal fee. Contact [email protected] for questions.

Summership Opportunities Available! (Summer Camp Scholarships)

United Way of Johnson and Washington Counties Summership (Scholarships) – This is an opportunity for parents to receive $350 in scholarship funding to send their child to local summer camps. This program is eligible for students that qualify for the free lunch program. All camps will be considered, regardless of the focus. This opportunity is available to kids K-12 now through September.

Volunteer Opportunities

Paws and More has ongoing volunteer opportunities for all ages. Children under 14 need a parent present at all times, children over 14 are able to volunteer by themselves with parental signature.

Building Our Youth For the Future

Here in Washington, we know that our children are our future, and value the opportunities that we have available in our community to help them grow and become all that they can be. There are activities, volunteer options, classes/lessons and clubs to meet the interest of every child and family.
