Leadership Washington met Wednesday Jan 8th. They started off the morning at Jones Eden Funeral home. Marty Beenblossom, the funeral director explained the behind the scenes process and the history at the Jones Eden Funeral home. The entire group was engaged with plenty of questions and enjoyed getting the day started.
Next up we traveled to Engineered Builders. There, the entire group got a tour of the facility and got to see samples of trusses that they ship all over the Midwest. Zach Shepherd explained how much the company has grown and what a great asset they have been to the community adding several jobs over the years.
Next up was Washington Lumber and Home Center. The Redlinger family showed the group around and surprised many of them with all the things they can get local. The newly added cabinet area was a hit!
Greiner Buildings was the next host and the group learned about how another great local business is expanding! The office building showcased many of their projects and the group enjoyed hearing all about the newest craze in pole buildings!
After that fun morning it was time to feed the group! Nothing better than supporting the local men and woman that serve on our fire department! The group enjoyed the pancake lunch and got a sneak peek at the new building!
Our afternoon got started at Atlas Molded Products. The management gave us a tour and explained all the neat things they do. A lot of the members were excited they now have a place to drop off and recycle all that Christmas packaging!
Bazooka Farmstar was next up and the group enjoyed a tour of the facility and hearing about the local growth adding more employees.
AllenMitchell CPA’s brand new building was next up! The group got to see the brand new addition to Washington and hear all about the upcoming busy season for the CPA’s at the location!
We finished the day at KCII Radio! Joe Nichols explained all the things that happen at the radio station that most wouldn’t think about. The group enjoyed recording the lunch menus and seeing the behind the scenes rooms where the broadcasters work throughout the day.
