We have young children who aren’t school age yet, so we are always looking for outings and activities throughout the year. Washington has several great parks for all ages that we visit often. We also take walks throughout town where we often are greeted by friendly hellos from anyone else enjoying Washington’s nice weather. Last summer we ventured to the pool for their morning toddler time, which was wonderful to get in a quick swim without all the chaos. In the late spring, summer, and fall we also head to ‘The Square’ for the farmers market, and events hosted there throughout the warmer seasons. We look forward to catching an outdoor movie once our kids are old enough. When the colder seasons hit Washington, we venture to the library for ‘Wee Read’ with Ms. Jo and to the Y for toddler time. Around the holidays we also enjoy driving around to see all the lights, especially at Coach Roth’s house. Washington also has several churches that are so welcoming and offer events for younger kids all year too. Washington provides several options for our young kids to enjoy, reminding us of one of the reasons why we moved here once we started our family.
