For Heaven’s Sake Daycare Has Exciting News

We are pleased to be partnering with Iowa DHS to provide 25% discounts to “essential workers” during the COVID-19 pandemic crisis. For Heaven‘s Sake is a 6 month old fully licensed Child Care Center right here in Washington, Iowa. We provide care to children ages 6 weeks – 4 year old preschool eligible.

For Heaven‘s Sake is a Christian child care center, encouraging  each child to explore their potential for life through Christ. We have an open schedule of play, Bible lessons, social interaction with peers, naps, and meals & snacks. All our staff are fully trained and vetted by several local, state, and national background checks.

Currently we are blessed by the Washington Community School System free lunch program to provide wholesome, well-balanced food to our children that has been prepared off-site and meets current DHS guidance for centers. We perform temperature checks daily at intake, have an enhanced sanitization and disinfection schedule, as well as meeting all other DHS recommendations typically expected of a child care center.

We typically offer rates of $210 per week for full time care up to age 2, $200 per week for full time care through age 4. Part time rates are also available, as well as drop-in rates upon request. With the assistance of DHS, we are able to offer care rates of full time to infants to age 2 for $157.50 per week, and full time care to toddlers up to age 4 for $150 per week. Proof of employment in an “essential” category would need to be provided.

The DHS considers “essential employees” to be those who work as: hospital staff, healthcare providers in private practice and direct care, those who provide critical government infrastructure such as social services, child protective services, public health officials, tax collection, corrections, and public safety, emergency responders, food service workers including grocery store staff and limited restaurant staff. Families eligible for Child Care Assistance are also welcome to enroll with DHS and receive care at a further reduced rate.
