Ryan Shields Promoted to Washington State Bank Vice President

Washington State Bank is pleased to announce the promotion of Ryan Shields to Vice President/Loan Officer effective March 1st. Ryan began his career at the Bank in 2016 serving as a Loan Officer in our Columbus Junction branch. He has extended his service to the Washington community over the past year and has been a tremendous leader in administering the Paycheck Protection Program for our business customers. He will continue to provide lending services at both locations.

Ryan attended Iowa City West before receiving his bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business at Wartburg College. In 2019 he graduated from the Iowa School of Banking. This year he will be taking courses through the Colorado Graduate School of Banking as well. Ryan volunteers with the GIVE Foundation and enjoys golfing, biking, reading and attending Iowa Football games in his free time. He currently resides in Iowa City. When asked what he looks forward to most in this next step in his career Ryan said, “I’m excited to continue serving many of our customers in Columbus Junction while also taking on additional responsibilities at our Washington location.”
