A special election will be held to fill the vacant Ward 2 Washington City Council seat. The special election will be held Tuesday, February 14, 2023. The polling place on Tuesday, February 14, is the First Assembly of God, 1602 East Washington St., Washington. The polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The three candidates on the ballot (alphabetically by last name) are:
– Richard Conrad
– Ivan Rangel
– Jennine Wolf
Only residents of Ward 2 are able to vote in this election. Absentee voting can be done in person at the Washington County Auditor’s Office at the Courthouse in Washington, with the deadline being 4:30 p.m. on Monday, February 13. Auditor’s Office hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on January 30 and February 10.
The seat was vacated in December and the Washington City Council has approved holding a special eletion to fill the position.
