Washington Golf and Country Club Celebrates 100 Years!

Washington, IA- Saturday, September 14, 2024 the Washington Chamber Ambassadors had the pleasure of celebrating a 100-Year Anniversary of our local Washington Golf and Country Club!

 

Prior to the shotgun start, friends, family and, patrons gathered together for a ribbon cutting photo to celebrate this monumental occasion! Tournament was followed up by Live Music.

 

Happy Hour lasted all day with centennial drink specials and a raffle with some great prizes. Special thanks to all those who joined us and made it out throughout the day!

 

The Golf and Country Club was founded in April, 1924.  Members of the community gathered throughout the day to commemorate this special day.  Board members to participate in festivities and also just to come by and say hello
