Kirkwood Nurse Aide Training Program

$715The Nurse Aide Training program (CNA) is designed to meet the training requirements for the nurse aide in long-term care facilities. Emphasis is placed on achieving a basic level of knowledge of the resident, and demonstrating skills to provide safe and effective resident care. Students will be required to complete a minimum of 30 hours of online work and log in to the course 5 of 7 days each week. Students will have the benefit of utilizing a classroom environment for the lab portion as well as hands-on clinical instruction in a long term care facility. Lab will be held at Washington Regional Center and clinical will be held at Halcyon House, Washington, IA. College credit will not be given for this class. Textbook required. Must be 16 years of age or older to take this class. Tuition assistance may fund up to 100 percent of your registration cost for this program.
