143 Years ago…A small group of farmers met on April 3, 1874, and after several preliminary meetings, decided to organize The Farmers Mutual Insurance Association of Washington County for the purpose of insuring farm property at reasonable rates.
In 1961 – We began insuring town property.
In 2008 – Our name changed to Farm and Home Security Mutual Insurance Association and we expanded our coverage area to bring the total number of counties we now serve to sixteen.
143 years later…We continue to fulfill the purpose for which the association was founded, to provide maximum insurance protection at reasonable rates.
