Community & Family Resources

Community & Family Resources offers prevention services in Washington County and will soon offer counseling in Washington as well. CFR’s prevention work includes free presentations on vaping and information for tobacco and nicotine cessation through Quitline Iowa and MY Life My Quit. CFR is committed to partnering with the community to prevent binge drinking, tobacco use, and expand opioid education and training.

CFR Offers Mental Health Services in Washington

Community and Family Resources (CFR) is pleased to announce the expansion of mental health services for individuals in the Washington area. Formerly an organization located only in North-Central Iowa, CFR merged with Prelude Behavioral Services in Des Moines and Iowa City in July 2022. Since the merger, CFR has been focused on assessing the needs within the community and ensuring that individuals can receive high-quality services, especially as the need for substance use and mental health treatment rises in a post-pandemic world.
