Electrical Permitting and Inspection Update

Effective January 6, 2025, there will be a change in the City of Washington regarding electrical permitting. The State of Iowa Department of Inspections, Appeals and Licensing (DIAL) will assume responsibility of electrical permitting and inspections for all zoning applications: residential and commercial.

Moving forward all permit applications may be filed online at: https://iowaelectrical.gov/.
