The Washington Police Department is seeking applicants for the position of Police Officer.

Iowa Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA) certification preferred, but not required.

Police Officers work 12-hour shifts: scheduled 14 days of each 28-day schedule.

Starting salary July 1, 2024, for certified officers is $60,567 – $77,522 based on experience.

Certified Officer Hiring Bonus = $5,000 or current contract buy-out.
