FY24 Budget – Max Levy Hearing Notice

The max levy hearing is a requirement by the State of Iowa.  This hearing will occur at the February 21st, 2023 Budget workshop.  The Council is required to hold a hearing and then adopt a resolution certifying the amount of property tax dollars to be levied for the next fiscal year  If the amount of property tax dollars to be levied represents a 2% or greater increase from the current year, it takes a 2/3 supermajority of the Council to pass the resolution.   See below for the max levy hearing notice.
