Reminder: Water Service Line Inventory

The City of Washington is required by the EPA to develop an inventory of our service lines by October 16, 2024. Our inventory needs to include service line material for every address supplied by city water. There are a few ways to get this information to the City of Washington. There is an online survey available at washingtoniowa.gov or property owners may call 319-653-2764 or email us at [email protected]. If service line material is unknown, a photo of the line may be sent via text to 319-653-1531. To locate the service material, locate the water meter, which is typically in the basement or utility closet, and follow the pipe going out of the meter.
