2024 Washington Mayoral Candidate Forum

The Washington Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a Candidate Forum for the upcoming mayoral election, on April 23rd at the Washington Area Performing Arts & Events Center (1111 South B Ave) from 6-8pm.

Candidates who are running for the position are:

A special election has been slated for Tuesday, April 30, 2024, to elect a new mayor. Voting locations will be at the YMCA, Dallmeyer Hall on the Fairgrounds, and in-person absentee voting will be facilitated at the Courthouse. Details will be released as soon as they are finalized.

Those interested in receiving ballots by mail must make their requests by April 15, by filling out this Absentee Ballot Request Form and returning it to the Washington County Auditor by 5pm on April 15. The Courthouse will continue to accommodate in-person absentee voting until April 29. Should voters opt to return their mail-in ballots in person, they can do so at the Courthouse until 8:00 pm on Election Day, coinciding with the closure of polling stations.
