Armchair Adventures: Indonesia: a presentation by Clyde Pearce
June 11 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Clyde Pearce will take us on an Armchair Adventure to Indonesia!
Indonesia is an underreported country in U.S. and European media, yet it is the third largest democracy in the world. Located in the south Pacific straddling the equator it is a country of many islands with amazing contrasts in its geography, peoples, languages, flora and fauna. There are several destinations within the country that attract visitors from around the world and the currency exchange rate with the U.S. dollar make it very attractive as a vacation destination. Can volcanoes and glaciers co-exist? Can a nuclear weapon actually spawn a new nation? Attend this presentation to hear the answers and many more interesting facts about Indonesia.
