Norway by Sea: an Armchair Adventure by Kathleen Almelien

For their 50th wedding anniversary gift to each other, Jim and Kathleen Almelien did a deep dive into visiting Norway. They visited sights between June 6 through July 1, 2023. They traveled first to see family, friends, students, museums and sights by rail, then finished their travels with the Vesterheim Coastal tour. The group of 36 started in the beautiful Hardanger fjord and then on a mail ship up the North coast of Norway to the Russian boarder. From Kirkenes they flew back to the Oslo, Capital of Norway. In Norway by Sea , we will stop and visit the coastline ports on the mail route, study the Sami people and Russian boarder, and learn about the cod fishing industry.
