🎺 This Week – September 18: Marc Janssen & Nate Basinger

Marc Janssen and Nate Basinger are veterans of the rich Iowa City-area music scene, where they are members of some of eastern Iowa’s favorite bands, including Diplomats of Solid Sound, Burlington Street Bluegrass Band, Swampland Jewels, and Dandelion Stompers. Together, Janssen & Basinger dig deep into traditional American folk music, playing antique melodies on fiddle and accordion, regional folk songs, and some original music that fits right in. With personal musical connections that trace back to the 1800s, Janssen and Basinger bring to life the pre-radio era of front porch music as a community hub.
