Join us for a presentation on craft by our guest, Steven Torriano Berry, an award-winning filmmaker and associate professor at Howard University’s Department of Radio, Television and Film. He has created and produced Black Independent Showcase, a television series for independent and student films, and has produced two, short, made-for-television movies for WPVI-TV 6 in Philadelphia.
He wrote, produced, and directed EMBALMER, his first feature length film. He is co-author of The 50 Most Influential Black Films, (Citadel Press, 2001), Historical Dictionary of African American Cinema, (Scarecrow Press, 2007), and is the publisherand editor of the romance novel, Love Forsaken, (Hard-Berry Publishing, 1994). His self-published novel series The TEARS Trilogy (2010), and his coming-of-age novel Honeyman’s A’Comin’ (2013), are available as ebooks on Amazon.com. He lives in Coralville, IA.
