Art is an Expression of the Soul of our Community

For the last two weeks in July we invite you to take a walk around Washington’s downtown storefronts to see various expressions of art from our local artists. We feature paintings, photography, jewelry, and fiber arts.  The most spectacular part of Washington’s Gallery Art Walk is the 5th Annual Totally Tubular Transformation. From spring until July, local artists transform old water softener containers (fiberglass ‘tubes’) and get creative decorating it. Tubes are on display around the square during the Gallery Art Walk and then are sold on the last day for a fundraising auction.

2019’s live auction will take place on Saturday, July 27th on the Bandstand in Central Park at noon.  Proceeds benefit a specific cause in Washington each year and the L.E.T.’s Center for the Healing & Creative Arts. 2019 funds will be going to Hospice of Washington County.

If you are interested in participating or purchasing one of the Totally Tubular Creations, contact the L.E.T.’s Center for Healing & Creative Arts

For information on displaying your work in downtown storefronts as part of the Gallery Art Walk, contact the Washington Chamber of Commerce.
