City of Washington – Seasonal Positions

City Departments are currently seeking applicants to fill temporary positions. The positions are considered seasonal and will begin immediately and extend to October/November 2025 (weather dependent).

Duties will vary daily depending on weather, but may include: maintenance of cemetery grounds including mowing and trimming, watering and mulching trees, general yard work, yard waste removal.  Will also be responsible to maintain city equipment and possibly assist other city departments.

Applicants must be at least 16 years old, have a valid Iowa driver’s license and have the ability to lift 50 pounds.

Position pay is determined by the applicant’s knowledge.
