The Washington Police Department is seeking applicants for the position of Police Officer.

Iowa Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA) certification preferred, but not required. Officers work 12-hour shifts.

Starting pay for certified officers is $57,673 – $73,830 depending on experience.

Certified Officer Hiring Bonus = $5,000.

Non-certified officers start at $53,714 with an increase after certification.
