Washington Chamber of Commerce Event Coordinator, Alisha Davis, will host her last event this weekend for the 31st Annual Candlelight Tour of Homes. After 5 years of hosting events for the community, Alisha is resigning from her position. She began her career with the Chamber in 2017; ironically, the first event she organized was the Tour of Homes. And now this will also be her last event with the Chamber.
Alisha said “I will miss so many things about working for the Chamber, including working with all the community members to find ways to make our Chamber, community, and business events in Washington the best they can be. There are so many rewarding parts of this job, and hearing from the community how much they enjoyed an event is the best part. I have gained so much knowledge from working at the Chamber and learned so much about Washington, I will forever be grateful for this opportunity.”
Alisha is not going far; she has accepted the position of Sales Director at Halcyon House. She still plans to be active in the Chamber and community events.
A farewell celebration will be held on Monday, December 5 from 4 – 6p.m. at Lebowski’s (1601 E Washington St, Washington). The Chamber Board of Directors invite you to join us in wishing her well in her new career.
Additionally, the Washington Chamber of Commerce has opened a full-time, salaried Event Coordinator position with benefits. The Chamber hosts approximately 100 events in the community annually and we are looking for an organized and enthusiastic person to join the team.
