Even though the this year’s Leadership Washington Class was cut short by the Covid-19 virus and even though its graduation ceremony was held outside on a 91 degree day, it didn’t stop the 26 class members attending from enjoying the event.
The venue this year was the Hal Colliver far, an incredible collection of gas signs, gas pumps, billboards and road signs. A catered lunch was served inside an open building with plenty of fans to make things as comfortable as possible.
Leadership Washington is a community awareness program presented by the Washington Chamber of Commerce. Each month, the program focuses attention on a particular sector of the community such as government, agriculture, history, etc. The program gives participants a new perspective of and appreciation for Washington while enabling them to develop a new network of friends. It is one of the most popular programs the Chamber produces each year.
