WASHINGTON, IOWA September 10, 2019 — The Washington Chamber of Commerce held the 30th Annual Washington Craft Fair on Saturday, September 7th in Central Park. The weather could not have been lovelier, it was a crisp fall day. There were almost 100 vendors, including 7 food vendors this year. The retail vendor booths were packed full with fresh fall produce, handmade jewelry and crafts, artwork, yard ornaments, clothing, children’s items, and much more. The food area was so busy, that four of the vendors sold out. The food vendors had a variety of treats and lunch options, including Puerto Rican, Mexican, BBQ, brick oven pizza, gourmet popcorn and ice cream.
This presenting sponsor for this event, CBI Bank & Trust set up early and passed out complimentary donuts and coffee. At their booth, you could sign up for a raffle prize to win a group craft workshop for 6 people at Repurpose It.
On the band stand, there was a Make & Take Fall Sign Workshop hosted by Repurpose It. Over 30 participants signed up and created rustic, hand painted, fall signs for their homes. The fair brought out one of our favorite Iowa seasons and I think fall is in the air in the Washington community.
