Locally made Saddles in Washington

Nick and Sue Reed operate a saddle shop in rural Washington County. We have been building saddles since 1996 along with other horse/mule tack and leather goods.  The shop began with Nick’s interest in horses and wanting to learn to build good fitting, quality gear.  He first hired an experienced saddle maker and has taken classes from many others along the way. Sue also has taken classes to learn the art of carving leather.Our saddles have been sold all across the US.  In the beginning of the business we traveled to midwest horse fairs in the spring and took custom orders along the way.  Now, most of our customers come to us, they bring their horse or mule to have a saddle tree fitting before the order is placed.

We sell both the saddles we make and a few lines of factory saddles as well other leather goods.  We also do custom leather clicking and have made products for wholesale clients, and repair saddles and leather goods.
