Making Wooden Toys in Washington

Woodworking has always been a hobby of mine. I worked the family farm Northeast of Washington for most of my life. My wife Connie (now deceased) and I started making wood toys for the nephews years ago when they were young. These early toys are still in good working shape and used by the nieces and nephews children. The toys I make include barns, tractors, trucks, wagons, loaders and more. I make sure edges are sanded smooth and use finishes that are safe and nontoxic.

I have taken my toys to craft shows at the Riverside Casino, Wapello, Ainsworth, Kalona and Washington. Since my wife passed, I have not been doing as many shows, but I continue to make and sell my toys from home.
